About Us
Valley Music Workshop is a musical collective in Woodland Hills, CA. We offer music lessons for all ages and levels in a variety of instruments and disciplines.
However, VMW is much more than a music lesson studio.
At VMW, our primary goal is to cultivate a unique artistic community in the San Fernando Valley. We do this by facilitating all-around creative growth for our students through the application of technique, multi-genre instructional styles, consistent live performance opportunities, and interdisciplinary events, all taking place at the historic Collier House.
A Truly Unique Musical Experience in the SFV
With masterclasses and performances by visiting world-class artists, student field trips to local concerts, an eclectic calendar of musical events throughout the year, and more, VMW cultivates a unique musical culture and identity all its own.
Valley Music Workshop operates in tandem with Valley Art Workshop, one of the SFV’s finest institutions for art instruction. Owned by brother and sister team Miles and Hannah Lewis, Valley Art Workshop and Valley Music Workshop are next-door neighbors in every sense of the phrase. The two work together to expand our local community of creatives and encourage interdisciplinary artistic expression.

For everyone on the Valley Music Workshop team, music is an intrinsic part of life. Our roster of teachers and engineers is packed with professional musicians who have made their own artistic development one of their greatest goals in life.

There are so many ways to get involved in LA’s thriving music scene, and building your own skills is just the beginning. Within our unique artistic community, VMW students can learn about the industry from the inside out and build a diverse network of collaborators, colleagues, and friends.
